1950-62 Ferrari V12 Magneti Marelli Tipo MVE8 Magneto 166 212 225 250 340 375 410S

A rare original Magneti Marelli Tipo MVE8 Magneto, as fitted to any early 50’s and 60’s sports Ferrari, including the 166, 212, 225, 250, 340, 375 and 410S. The magneto was acquired from a previous owner of #0290M, a 166MM Vignale Spyder. He purchased the Magneto in the 1990’s as a spare for his car, but then never fitted it, and decided to have it mounted to a wooden frame with spark plugs. He recalled how even then, finding a pair was almost impossible. The magneto was fully overhauled prior to mounting and it turns freely by hand. A very rare part for any sports Ferrari from the 50’s, unrepeatable.
